What to know before you register: This is the first division where no friend requests are honored. ALL players must participate in assessments their first year in division, second year players can opt to "return to team" or "return to assessments". Assessments happen in February and Coaches will draft players mid February. Teams will be announced around the coaches meeting (end of Feb). Players are assessed and drafted to offer a competitive league without stacked teams. Weekdays and and times can be found on the right panel of this page. This division has a Feature Day game at the end of the season.
Beginning with MUSTANG 10U™ LEAGUE Fastpitch, the players are playing real Fastpitch in accordance with the PONY Girls Softball Rulebook.
MUSTANG 10U™ LEAGUE begins PONY Fastpitch belief that rather than change the rules to make it possible for young people to play the game,
it is more logical to change the size of the diamonds, to adjust them to the physical potential of the players.
Use of diamonds matched to their capabilities permits younger players to play in the same proportionate position as the Major Leaguers
and to make the same plays as a Major Leaguer. The double play, the squeeze play, the force play,
etc. all become probabilities instead of remote possibilities.
With scaled down bases and pitching distances, players react quite favorably to the greater challenge
of the game and have little difficulty mastering the transition.
